Sal W. Varsalona
Sal Varsalona was born and raised in East Tennessee. He attended Norris High School and continued his academic career at the University of Tennessee, graduating with a degree in Political Science and Psychology. After graduating from UT, Sal continued onto law school, receiving his Juris Doctor in 1993. After finally finishing his studies Sal wanted to travel to one of the poorest countries in the world. When an opportunity arose to spend some time with Christian Missionaries in Bangladesh he jumped at the chance. Sal was able to spend a few months in Bangladesh and surrounding countries. It was definitely an eye opening experience that made Sal appreciate more than ever the opportunities he’s had.
Sal has been the long-time attorney for Anderson County Schools and is the City Judge for Rocky Top. His areas of practice include family law, DUI/DWI law, Medical Malpractice, Criminal Law, Family Law, Divorce, Juvenile Law, Child Custody, Adoption, Personal Injury, probate administration, estate planning, social security disability, personal injury, worker's compensation, general civil litigation, business law, contracts, real estate deeds, and bankruptcy.

Elizabeth M. Burrell
Elizabeth is an East Tennessee native who after graduating from Anderson County High School, Elizabeth attended the University of Alabama and received dual degrees: Bachelor of Science degree in Fashion Merchandising and a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies with minors in Business Administration and French.
After completing her undergraduate degree, Elizabeth returned home to East Tennessee and received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Tennessee College of Law. While in law school, Elizabeth was able to clerk for a local law firm in Knoxville and the Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands in Oak Ridge. Elizabeth was elected President of the Student Bar Association and completed number pro bono projects benefitting the underserved in the East Tennessee Area. Prior to taking a position at the law firm of Burrell & Varsalona, Elizabeth served as an ambassador of the University of Tennessee College of Law recruiting students for admission across the United States.
Elizabeth also practices law in the areas of probate administration, estate planning, social security disability, personal injury, worker's compensation, general civil litigation, business law, contracts, real estate deeds, and bankruptcy. In addition practicing law, Elizabeth also owns and operates a full service title and real estate firm, Riverbend Title, LLC, providing real estate closing services for clients across East Tennessee.
Elizabeth is active in the University of Tennessee School of Law Alumni Association. She is also a member of Main Street Baptist Church in Lake City, Tennessee.
